For chicken wings, of course, we will use chicken wings. It’s completely your choice to choose from shoulder end, real chicken wings or winglet part. But what is important is to clean it. Well, there are a few follicles there that you need to pluck and remove.
Use a fork or knife and make cuts in the chicken for the absorption of sauce. After cleaning and washing it, the next step is to dry it entirely so that the marination sticks on top of it. So, wipe it very well and let it dry completely.
Let’s move on to the marination. We’ll need some honey, soy sauce, chili oil, and, most importantly, some garlic paste to marinate the chicken. You can also use some molasses or brown sugar in place of honey. Adding soy sauce will reduce the need to add any extra salt to it.
Mix this well, and you’ll notice that it has become a nice and thick liquid that will stick all over the chicken wing. The next thing that goes in is the chicken wings. We need to mix this well, and if you have some time in hand, you can keep this to marinate or rest. Keep it in the refrigerator for fifteen minutes, half an hour or overnight. Once the chicken wings are ready, the next step is to transfer these to a baking tray. Let’s glaze these wings with half the sauce that’s remaining.
Now, 5 minutes of your hard work and 40 minutes of the oven making all its effort. You can cook the chicken for the 1st 20 minutes. After that, you can bake it again and cook it for 20 minutes. You need a total of 40 minutes at 200 degrees celsius.
If you plan to fry the chicken in hot oil, dust the marinated chicken in corn flour mixed with salt and paper. Afterward, fry the chicken on medium heat for about 12-15 minutes. For extra crunchy texture, double fry the chicken until golden brown.
Perfectly-cooked chicken wings are an absolute treat, and making them at home is easy with the right tricks. Use these steps to ensure you get the perfect fry every time: marinating your wings for a few hours, coating them in seasoning, using enough oil, keeping an eye on the temperature, and remembering to enjoy!
