There are 3 points which you should consider while buying pineapples. They are as follows.

1. If the pineapple leaves come off easily, it means the pineapple is ripe. 

2. The second point is to check the bottom part; if it smells like a good-quality pineapple, that means it’s ready to cut.

3. If the eyes of the pineapple are equal from top to bottom, it also indicates that the pineapple is ripe. If it is not like that, keep it for 2-3 days, then cut it.

Steps to Cut a Pineapple

The simple steps to cut a pineapple are as follows. For cutting pineapples, you might need some kitchen gadgets like knife and chopping board.

  • The first step is to cut the top and bottom of the pineapple. 
  • Then, with a sharp knife, cut it from top to bottom.
  • Turn it and cut it the way we cut wood.
  • Now we have to peel off the eyes.
  • Always peel the pineapple’s eyes as it is harsh to eat.
  • Carefully remove it while holding it With your fingers firmly. 
  • So now we have our pineapple peeled. 
  • Now, it’s time to cut it from the center. Place the halves on the chopping board and cut them from the center again. 
  • We have to remove the core as it is fibrous and dense.
  • Keep it on the chopping board and cut it at an angle. 
  • Now slice it evenly, lift it on your knife and then place it on the serving plate.
  • Again slice the rest of the pineapple and place it on the serving plate.
